CASE STUDY
BLUEPRINT NARRATIVE
Every home tells a story through its architecture, and this impressive family home in Pinner, North West London, was no exception. Designed with strong Edwardian and Arts & Crafts influences, the property required an entrance door that would complement its character while serving as a key architectural feature.
THE RESPONSE
The challenge was both aesthetic and technical. The opening was significantly larger than a standard entrance door, a size that very few manufacturers can accommodate without compromising security or structural integrity. Our task was to create a bespoke, high-security solution that remained true to the home’s traditional design while delivering modern performance.
Achieving this balance between traditional aesthetics and advanced security was the primary objective of the project.
To complement the home’s design and scale, we manufactured a bespoke security door featuring integrated glazing bars within the glazing unit, matching the style of the surrounding windows. Classic six-panel traditional detailing (known as KM1 within our system) was incorporated into the design, providing a timeless appearance that sits naturally within the Edwardian and Arts & Crafts-inspired architecture.
We were also able to provide an impressive 1180mm width security door while maintaining both the level of security and traditional design required for the project.

THE RESULT
Finished in RAL 9005 Jet Black, the door is equipped with a FIAM 678 high-security multipoint locking system, Mottura door chain and night latch, triple-glazed privacy glass with a satin finish, a thermally broken steel frame and Rockwool insulation. The result is a bespoke security door that successfully combines traditional design with modern security, thermal performance and everyday practicality.
